To the uninitiated, it can be hard to understand why some people are more interested in a pocket-sized rodent than a trophy-class beast. I won't try to explain it here, but let me assure you, I understand how exciting it can be.

I build these rifles for long rage accuracy using a proven combination of carefully-selected premium components, starting with the incredible Surgeon round action.

Combined with the obsessive attention to fit and finish I'm known for, my varmint rifles deliver the performance you expect, with a smooth, solid feel, and looks you can be proud of.

Accuracy guarantee 1/2 MOA or better.

Action: Surgeon RSR or RL standard and magnum bolt faces

Barrel: Match grade barrels are selected based upon availability from Bartlein, Broughton, and Krieger. Available with finished lengths up to 28" in your couice of a rem varmint, light target, or MTU barrel taper (Krieger has an excellent taper chart on their website).

Chambers: available in any standard or Ackley-improved chambering.

Trigger: Jewell HVR

Stock: any non-adjustable varmint or bench rest stock from McMillian, Mannners, or H-S Precision that will accept the barrel tapers listed above

Floor Metal: ADL or H-S Precision in detachable box magazine for reliable feeding and traditional flush-mounted looks. (photo). Single-shot configuration available at no additional charge.

Finishing: KG or Cerakote

Optional Upgrades:

• Upgrade action - Surgeon's round actions provide an outstanding foundation, and traditional looks, but if you are after maximum durability and performance, they also offer models with an integrated recoil lug and integrated Picatinny rail:
  • Upgrade to Surgeon 591 (for short action calibers): $700.00
  • Upgrade to Surgeon 1086 (for long action calibers): $850.00
